  • 5/30 - 2 Months old on Memorial Day

Size/Percentile: As of 5/31/16
  • Weight - 10lb 8oz (23%)
  • Height - 22.25" (24%)
  • Head - 15.67" (46%)

Daily Schedule:
On an average day, you are up for the day between 8 and 9 am to eat, nap 10-11:30, eat, snuggle with Dad, nap 12:30-4, eat, nap 5-6, then eat and snooze off and on from 7-8:15, when you go to bed for the night. Lately you have slept until about 5am (but 4 is more typical) and then eat and go back to sleep til 8 or 9.

Things I Love:
  • Eating, sleeping and pooping ;)
  • Baths
  • Sitting in the swing

This Month's Milestones:
  • Social smiles - with dimples!! {5 weeks}
  • Huffing "laugh" {7 weeks}
  • Sleeps through the night {7 weeks}

Highlights of the Month:
  • You moved up to size 1 diapers and Mom packed away your Carter's NB clothes. You mostly wear Circo/Gerber NB or 0-3 now, but also some Carter's 3m
  • Mom switched to pumping 6x/day so that she can spend more time with you and your sister. You eat five 3-4 oz bottles and one 6 oz bottle a day (22-24 oz). Dad does your bottles at bedtime and the middle of the night. You've figured out how to pace yourself with the bottle much better so you don't have huge burps/spit up nearly as often.
  • You are such a great sleeper! At night you sleep in a Halo swaddle in the pack n play. During the day you either nap snuggled on Mom's chest or laying on the couch. One of Mom's goals for next month is to start transitioning naps into the pack n play too, but since you nap on your belly Mom wants to supervise you have more head control.
  • You are such a happy and content baby! You only really do a full cry when you are REALLY hungry and we have to change your diaper before feeding you. You are happy to be in the bath and the swing now, and the car seat is only a problem if the van isn't moving.
  • You also do a great job in the Ergo and have moved from "froggy" legs to legs out, which is way more comfy for Mom. We try to go on family walks a couple times a week and you almost always fall asleep.
  • You will still take the Wubanub pacis, but aren't nearly as excited about them as last month. I think you've realized that they don't have any milk in them.
  • You fell asleep on stage during your dedication at church on Mother's Day. I think it may have been a little overwhelming with all the lights and sound at once.
  • Mom successfully took both you and Lily to playgroup at church by herself. You ate there and then fell asleep in the Ergo - phew!
  • Auntie "Mitsa" was so excited to finally get to meet you! She laid down the law with Nana and Auntie Amanda that she got to hold you pretty much 100% of the time she was in town. I think she's probably counting down the days until her next visit.
  • Dad is working hard on finishing the basement to be a play/family room, so sometimes we "help" by sitting on the stairs to keep him company.

Bible reading with Daddy before bed
Still not a fan of tummy time.

Meeting Auntie "Mitsa" - she pretty much never put you down.

Daddy's crazy expressive eyebrows!

Lots of love from Cousin Madeline
